Sheffield Wednesday Football Club and the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters’ Trust are delighted to launch a new supporter experience initiative for the 2026-27 season.
Created through the incredible generosity of Wednesdayites, who donated more than £83,000, the initiative will provide flexible matchday tickets, mascot experiences and replica shirts to supporters who might otherwise miss out.
Working together, the club and the trust have transformed supporter donations into a season-long programme designed to create thousands of Hillsborough experiences for individuals, families and young supporters across our community.
The initiative will include:
The club and the Trust will work alongside charities, schools, supporter groups and community organisations to ensure opportunities reach those who will benefit most.
The flexibility of the ticket scheme also means hundreds of supporter donations have the potential to create thousands of matchday experiences across the season.
David Bruce, Chief Executive Officer, said: “One of our commitments has always been to strengthen the connection between Sheffield Wednesday and our community. This initiative perfectly reflects that ambition. The generosity shown by our supporters has been remarkable and we’re delighted to work alongside the Supporters’ Trust to maximise the impact of every donation. By making these tickets transferable throughout the season, together we can create opportunities for many more people to experience Hillsborough.”
Jake Lee, Vice-Chair of SWST, added: “When we launched the supporters’ ticket fund, our ambition was simple – to help ensure Sheffield Wednesday could be enjoyed by people who might otherwise miss out. The response from Wednesdayites exceeded anything we could have imagined and, working closely with the club, we’ve been able to turn those donations into something even bigger. This initiative will create opportunities for thousands of matchday experiences, alongside mascot packages and replica shirts, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has made it possible.”
