Season Tickets – 2023 – Statement

Official Statement from the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust:

The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust expresses its deep concern over the recent announcement of raised season ticket prices. We acknowledge the efforts made by the club to offer lower prices for early renewals; however, the current price hike shows a disregard for the welfare of fans in general.

We understand the financial challenges facing the club, but we firmly believe that this should not come at the expense of loyal supporters who have stood by the team through thick and thin. The decision to raise season ticket prices to an unacceptable level will exclude many fans from attending matches. It could potentially drive away those who have been ardent supporters of the club for years.

We call on the club's management to reconsider this decision and engage in dialogue with the Supporters Trust to find a fair and equitable solution for all fans. We also question if the engagement panel was consulted on this matter and, if so, what their response was to the club.

We invite all concerned fans to join the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust and help protect the interests of supporters. As one voice, we can make a positive difference and ensure that the club respects the rights and concerns of its loyal supporters. We will continue to work towards ensuring that Sheffield Wednesday Football Club remains a vital part of the community it serves.
