Following the decision to lift the prohibition notice on the North Stand, the Trust have liaised with the Council to understand the reasons for this change. We understand that all required immediate works specified by the structural engineers have been completed and verified by the Council, with evidence provided to them. We understand the Council will require further works to be completed within an agreed timeframe and that the delivery of these works will be regularly monitored and reviewed.
We hope this provides some level of assurance to supporters ahead of tomorrow’s match.
We also call on the Council to issue their own public statement with full details on the reason for the withdrawal of the prohibition notice, to enable fans who sit in the North Stand to make informed decisions as to whether they feel they can attend the match safely.
