Yesterday the Trust met with Trevor Braithwait, Club Director of Communications. Detailed questions had been submitted in advance in support of the six agenda items. Due to work commitments on our part the meeting had to conclude early, and we only worked through half of the items on the agenda – the meeting will reconvene on Friday 18th December. We thank Trevor for his late notice assistance in this regard. A summary of the meeting will be agreed with the club and published by the Trust.
The trust tabled matters of real substance to fans – refunds, ticket pricing and future strategy. It is clear that the club have very different views to the Trust on what the problems facing Sheffield Wednesday are and how to solve them. The Trust had a meeting with Mr. Chansiri on the 24th November in which we were able to present some of our views to him directly about the desperate need for fan engagement and a strategic plan for the club. We will do our upmost to present the Trust's views discussed with Trevor today, on ticket prices among others, when Mr Chansiri is present.
The Trust Board are also giving consideration to future arrangements for engagement with the Club at the next Trust Board meeting and will communicate the outcome to its members soon as possible.
