The Independent Football Regulator has begun publishing draft Rules and Guidance to support the Football Governance Act, launching the first three in what will be a rolling series of consultations.

These consultations set out how the Regulator intends to apply its powers in practice.
Of particular relevance to Sheffield Wednesday supporters is the proposed Owners, Directors and Senior Executives (ODSE) regime, which — unlike the previous EFL Owners and Directors’ Test — will apply to existing (‘incumbent’) owners, not just prospective ones.

The Trust has submitted a response to this consultation and welcomes the IFR’s decision to actively involve stakeholders, including supporter groups, in the process.
