Please read the following guidelines carefully ahead of the march on Saturday, 26th April, to ensure the safety and well-being of yourself and others:
Safety Guidelines
Marshalls: Marshalls wearing yellow and black armbands will be available to assist. Follow their instructions and notify them if you need help or observe someone in distress. There will be qualified first aiders participating in the march.
Traffic Awareness: Traffic will not be stopped for the march. Please respect the Highway Code by staying on the pavement and avoiding walking on the road.
Children’s Safety: Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and kept away from the edge of pavements near roads.
Road Crossings: Be prepared to stop and start at several road crossings along the route to ensure safe passage for yourself and fellow marchers.
Pets: If you are joining the march but not attending the football match, refrain from bringing dogs or other pets. Animals may become overwhelmed by large crowds, leading to panic.
Respecting Public Spaces: Stay mindful of pedestrians, cyclists, and others going about their daily activities. At times, the march will pass through public footpaths.
Meeting Points
The Barrack Tavern: Meet at 1:15 PM.
Hillsborough Corner: Gather at 1:30 PM.
Main March: Begins at Hillsborough Park at 2:00 PM.
By observing these guidelines, we can ensure a peaceful, impactful, and safe demonstration for everyone involved. Thank you for your support and commitment to the cause!
