In light of recent announcements regarding delayed payments to Sheffield Wednesday staff and players, we want to inform our members that an emergency meeting of the SWFC Supporters' Engagement Panel was held last night.
This unprecedented gathering brought together major supporters' groups to discuss a unified approach to the situation. Together, we have submitted formal correspondence to the club’s chairman.
We have requested clarity on the circumstances surrounding the current situation, future safeguards, and alternative arrangements if the financial challenges cannot be adequately resolved. We have also requested a meeting with senior club representatives at the earliest convenience.
As representatives of the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust, we remain committed to advocating for transparency while supporting our club, its players, and staff during this difficult time. We stand in solidarity with all those affected by this situation.
At this time, we call for unity and respect among all supporters. While concerns are valid, division within our fanbase will only weaken our collective voice. We’re all Wednesday.
